Spreading the Gospel through support of
national and international programs is of utmost importance to us at LFBC.
We are supporting several Native American ministries in North Carolina and in Seattle. In Cherokee, North Carolina, we are sponsoring Tammy Jackson with Mission to the World. Her primary ministry is teaching the Gospel and Discipleship to Native American women. Internationally, we are supporting Jacob and Karen Hall, who are missionaries in Southeast Asia. The Halls are ministering to the Loam people and will be working on Bible Translation in the Loam language. We also support the Little Lambs Orphanage in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. Locally, we are participating in Global Cafe, which is a ministry run by the Charlotte International Fellowship and caters to ministering to the international student population at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Charlotte International Fellowship is a Christian organization which seeks to provide opportunities for international students to learn about and experience American culture with American friends, as well as exploring the culture of other internationals in the area. Working with campus International Student Advisors, volunteers, and friends interested in International relations, we seek to help students adjust to American life and culture by: hosting conferences for learning, relaxing, and spiritual edification, pairing students with friend families, helping with English, keeping students informed through newsletters, and providing Bible studies for those who are interested. Global Cafe runs every Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM during the school year. A free meal is provided to the students as well as an opportunity for them to engage in conversational English. Location is University Hills Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1500 Suther Rd. across from UNCC. |
