Philosophy of Education
It is the Mission of the Education Ministry of LFBC to glorify God by teaching biblical doctrine so that the saints will not be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine and by the sleight of men, perfecting the saints and edifying the body for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12-14), by rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2 Tim. 2:15), and prepared for every good work (2 Tim. 2:21).
All children have Sunday School classes that teach God's truths in an age appropriate way. Even the nursery has a Sunday School lesson!
The classes are broken up by age:
0-2 (nursery for SS and worship) - Kristin Faggart & Kara Lewer
3 yo - Sarah Navey & Courtney Turner, Adam & Taylor Cappucci
4-5 yo - Julia Slowiaczek, & Sydnie Rhodenbaugh
6-7 yo - Beth Young, Makenzie Todd, Heather Fink
8-9 yo - Terri Egge & Caroline Newheiser
10-11 yo - Wayne & Jennie McClellan
12-13 yo - Josh Lewer & Brian Lee, Matt & Angela Tucker
14-17 yo (high school) - Evan Faggart & Adam Young
For ages 6+ we are using a curriculum from Faith Reformed Baptist Church.
Class placement is assigned by date of birth. If you have questions about your child's placement, please reach out to Sarah Navey (Secretary).
Our adult Sunday School is for ages 18+. Sunday School is currently teaching through Colossians.
Sunday Worship is for the whole family, with nursery provided for ages 0-2.
