The Wadhams Family
Michael and his family moved from Cape Town, South Africa in 1998 with a burden to work with Native American Indians. Books that contributed to their desire to minister to the mis-reached tribes of North America were Dee Brown’s “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee,” and John Ehle’s book “Trail of Tears,” which speaks of the forcible removal of the Cherokee from the Appalachian Mountains after the discovery of gold. The Wadhams’ settled in North Carolina and attended South Eastern Bible College where Michael completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies. After traveling throughout the USA they accepted a call to pulpit ministry on the Cherokee Indian reservation. There Michael completed a Master’s degree in Missiology. Following God’s plan they settled in Charlotte where Michael continued in the pastorate helping to establish and develop the work now known as Living Faith Baptist church. After serving in the pulpit for 8 years the Lord once again burdened Michael with a desire to return to First Nation ministry.
This burden to return to Native American ministry has led the Wadhams to the Lummi Nation in Washington state. Their work their will include relational evangelism, and mentoring/discipleship with the long-term goal of planting a Native church.
The Wadhams now serve in Lynden, Washington where they minister to the Lummi Nation and are associate members of Church Christ Bellingham. The Wadhams are part of Mission To The World's Native American Ministry.
