Living Faith's Bible Reading Plan Starts August 31st, 2020
The Elders are very excited about a new project for the entire church, "LFBC Bible Reading Plan". We will begin August 31 and read through the bible in a year as a church. Written copies of the plan will be on the table in the foyer next Sunday, August 16. This will be perfect for family devotions. We expect the entire church will participate. You can discuss the daily readings with each other as all will be on the same chapters and verse. With this plan we will all have read through the entire bible by next September.
Some Important Notes:
It will be average 4 chapters a day, going through one book at a time. There are some purposeful pairings, like Exodus/Matthew/Isaiah, Leviticus/Hebrews, etc. Every so often we spend a week reading some Psalms. Proverbs are scattered about, filling in space. Some small epistles are read twice. Sundays have no assigned reading, so you can read the sermon scripture or catch up if you are a day or two behind.
**About the catch up days: Please do NOT feel that you must catch up; it is MOST important that you keep reading the day's reading so we are ALL reading the same thing together. At the end of it all, it's not about how many chapters you might have missed! The goal is to become/maintain being an avid Bible reader. This is not the last time you'll read the Bible! God willingly, we'll be right back again next year. If you fall off track, jump back in. The plan is also designed for new visitors to join at any time, which means anyone who misses reading can also easily jump back in.
To print properly: To have it print properly, you must print double sided, flip-on-SHORT-edge. (Some printers may read differently, what matters is that the "short" option is selected, or else it will be upside and all wonky!).
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:18
